2017 Subaru Outback: Exterior
The exterior of the 2017 Subaru Outback features minor adjustments from its predecessor. Subaru's engineers fitted the 2017 Outback with an aluminum hood to reduce weight; helping contribute the SUV's impressive fuel economy.
The new Outback comes standard with 17" alloy wheels (Limited and Touring trim levels come with 18" alloy wheels). As stated above, the Subaru Outback is known for its exceptional ground clearance. The 2016 Subaru Outback had a gracious 8.7 inches of ground clearance, which has been much appreciated by our Oklahoma Subaru Outback owners. The high ground clearance helps the SUV cover almost any road, whether rough or smooth, the sooner state can throw at it.
With its roof rails and crossbar system, the Outback can carry up to 150 pounds of equipment. It's easy to reach, and the spacing between the cross bars is adjustable to provide even more cargo-carrying flexibility. When not in use, the cross bars can be folded into the integrated roof rails to help fuel efficiency and to make for a quieter drive.
HID low beam headlights and multi-reflector halogen high beams come standard on the 2017 Outback Limited while automatic HID low beam height adjust control comes standard on EyeSight-equipped Limited models.
2017 Subaru Outback: Technology Advanced Interior
Inside the new 2017 Outback is one comfortable, tech friendly cabin. The 2017 Outback 2.5i models feature 6.2" multimedia screen. The screen provides the display for the standard rear vision camera and SUBARU STARLINK.
SUBARU STARLINK in-vehicle technology brings both entertainment and safety features to your vehicle. SUBARU STARLINK Safety and Security services will bring you peace of mind, wherever your journey takes you. These features will enhance the safety and security of your Subaru through connectivity.
In addition to STARLINK, 2017 Outback Premium trim adds electroluminescent instrument panel with LCD color display, auto up/down front windows, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift handle, 10-way power driver's seat, dual zone automatic climate control system, and the Subaru All-Weather Package. Premium trim also offers an optional Power Rear gate with height memory.
The Limited trim 2017 Outback steps up the luxury with woodgrain-pattern matte-finish interior accent trim, a harman/kardon 575-watt equivalent amplifier and harman/kardon surround 12-speaker audio system, 4-way power front passenger seat, rear-seat air conditioner outlets, heated rear seat backs and cushions and perforated leather-trimmed upholstery.
2017 Subaru Outback: Safety
Subaru's also designed the new Outback with the most important cargo in mind - its passengers. The 2016 Outback earned the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety's (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ rating with the available Subaru-developed EyeSight system. The EyeSight system partners multiple safety technologies to act as a 'second set of eyes' for the driver. The system includes Lane Keep Assist, Sway Warning, Lane Departure, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking as well as Adaptive Cruise Control.
2017 Subaru Outback: New Touring Trim
New for 2017, a flagship Outback 2.5i Touring model debuts featuring a dark gray grille insert and 18" wheels with dark gray accents and machined finish. Unique to the Touring trim is a chrome Outback badge and low roof rails in a silver finish along with lower cladding. The 2017 Outback Touring also features an additional exterior paint option - Brilliant Brown Pearl.
The inside of the 2017 Outback Touring features a new unique color, as well.
