Ferguson Subaru Donates New Shoes & New Coats to Students in the Tulsa Metro
Last month, Ferguson Subaru partnered with Operation Warm to donate new shoes and new coats to the students at Kendall-Whittier Elementary, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This partnership amplifies our continued support for those who need it most. The donation was part of the Subaru Loves to Help® initiative.
According to News On 6, Kendall-Whitter is the largest elementary school in the Tulsa district. [1] Kendall-Whittier Elementary principal, Dr. Ronda Kesler, had the following to say about the donation, “The Ferguson Subaru team members came in and set up so quickly and efficiently which made the process of outfitting students so easy. They were great at organizing and carrying out the event without a problem and were so great at cleaning up and putting our extra shoes and coats on the stage area to be put away later. With the Ferguson Subaru teams help in the past we had numerous volunteers excited to participate in this initiative.“
Operation Warm is a national non-profit that is focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. This partnership amplifies our continued support for those who need it most. Essential items, like shoes and coats, help keep children protected, warm, and dry. They can have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being. These items can mean the difference between going to school or not; between participating in activities or sitting out. No child should ever have to face these circumstances.
Ferguson Subaru is dedicated to supporting those who need it the most in our communities. From working with Operation Warm® to provide new clothing to families who urgently need it and donating food to Feeding America to helping Meals on Wheels deliver meals to seniors, we believe our community gets stronger when everyone is cared for.
